THE WAY UP is truly an expansive, hopeful and amazing ride by the Pat Metheny Group. “A triumph!” was how Down Beat heard it. They also gave the album 4 stars. Mojo weighed in as did their sister magazine Q over there in London with 4 and 3 stars, respectively, and over-the-top reviews.
